Script for My TV Spot
My TV Spot focuses on Liz's daily grind as a receptionist working for her terrible boss, and is dominated by the character's voiceover which acts not only as exposition but also positions the audience with her as a character. At the end of the voiceover, she reveals that she killed her boss, creating enigma for the viewer which will encourage the audience to see the film.
Here is the script:
It’s tough being a receptionist.
Especially when you work for a boss like mine.
One minute I’m setting up a conference call to Chicago – and the next, I’m ploughing through my in tray.
The guys here, well they think he’s a great boss.
It’s all ball games and barbeques.
But I know different.
I know what he’s really like.
And that’s why I killed him.
