Analysing Taglines on Posters From the Film Noir Genre

I will be including a tagline in the trailers and on the poster that I create for 'The Receptionist', so I am going to analyse the taglines from existing noir and neo-noir films to look for similarities and patterns. I will also consider the way the tagline reflects the narrative of my own film, as well as the genre, when creating mine.

There are some similarities, or commen elements, to the taglines from films from the film noir genre. These include:

• References to characters
• Danger, threat and menace
