Optional Pictures for My Poster for 'The Receptionist'

Here are some potential pictures that I may use on my poster, which are taken from shots I have filmed for my trailers. Originally, I wanted a collage of images on my poster, as was common in posters for older noir films from the 1940s and 1950s, such as 'Detour' and 'Double Indemnity'.

 

However, as my film is a modern take on the noir genre, I might instead use a single image of the main protagonist, or another important character, such as those found on posters for 'The Last Seduction' or 'Sin City'.

Alternatively, I may go for a cleaner approach to the poster, and have no image, instead reflecting the genre through font, reviews and the tagline. I may choose to create a poster that would be released once the film had been reviewed, or one which foregrounds the fact that the film has been nominated for awards, similar to the poster for 'La La Land', which despite having an image, is dominated by references to reviews and awards.
