My Finished Poster for 'The Receptionist'

Here is my finished poster. It contains the majority of conventions that I found when analysing existing posters, such as the title of the film, a billing block, production company logos, social media, a tagline, a release date and reference to other films made by the same producers.

Because I decided that I wanted produce a poster that would be released after the film had been reviewed and had received award nominations, I chose to foreground these instead of an image. This poster would be part of a wider marketing campaign that would have included teaser posters and theatrical posters (along with a number of variants, which could include character posters) and these would include images on them.

I have also referenced the film noir genre through the font I chose, the language in the reviews and the tagline (as well as the black and white colour scheme).
